Appearance: Pale, watery, cloudy; good head, dissipates quickly

Aroma: yeasty, peppery, citrus

Taste: Tangy, smooth but weak and watery; probably good for a hot day, but overall, uninspiring

Comes in a 33cl brown long neck bottle with what looks like a wolf staring out from the label. The back label tells you to drink it out of the bottle, but I didn't read that until after I had already poured it. Oops. Purity law applies. Best before 5/11/04, I opened it on 1/23/04.

Poured a nice semi-cloudy yellow gold under an off white one fingered head without the contour I would expect from a Weissbier. This head did stick around quite a while, though. The aroma is mild, but the necessary spice and wheat are certainly present. The mouth is light and quite prickly, again as it should be. The first taste impression is sweet, but the identifiables are clove and sour lemon. This sour lingers longer than the sweet, but it is a lemonade-like sour. There are no detectable hops here, leaving an aftertaste that is sweet and spicey. Not bad, but there are much better Weizens out there.

A classic German white beer. I quite enjoyed it. Served cold and the appearance, colour and lacing, was what you'd expect from this type of beer. Smooth on the finish, but nothing really extraordinary about it. Solid and drinkable.

I would look at purchasing again, but wouldn't go out of my way.

"Hopf Eisweißbier"

The bottle encourages you to drink straight from it. I decided to be an asshole and pour it into a weissbier glass. It didn’t have much sediment, but it is somewhat cloudy, so maybe it is like in between a Kristalweizen and a Hefeweizen. Best before 21.04.12.

It pours a light clear gold, more like a witbier than a hefe with a big foamy white head that leaves some nice lacing.

The smell is extremely fruity and sugary. In fact it reminds me of something like Blue Moon.

The flavor is extremely light and the body is extremely light. It is very orangey. I think they got a hold of Blue Moon and tried copying it. This is kind of shite.

If you like crappier witbiers this is or you.

The thin dense head faded into a very thin collar on a hazy golden opaque color. The smell is fruity, yeasty. Wheat too. Maybe peaches, definitely citrus. The taste reveals less yeast and wheat character than expected. It's very fruity, peach, maybe hints of bananas, like gum, and not that much of citrus. The iodated aspect of some weizen doesn't appear here. The mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. Enjoyable. I thought this beer was a bit less sweet than other hefe weizen, and with a slightly more herbal note in the aftertaste. I like it.

Beer bottle (50cl.), tasted in 2005.

Appearance : yellow color, with a good white foamy head.
Smell : banana and yeast aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : sweet, notes of citrus, yeasty and wheaty flavours.
Drinkability : a good beer in the style German hefeweizen.

Poured in with a thick head. Hazy yellow color. Fruity and banana Aroma... Clean and Crisp at first sip and a hint of that banana taste at your palate. No bitterness, very easy to drink beer. This beer is rare in my country. Got this as a gift from my sister in law.
