Serving: Bottle

A:
Pours a clearish yellow-gold with three fingers of tight-bubbled beige head that takes forever to settle (to ). Great retention; lots of sticky lacing. (4.25)

S:
Fruity hops. Lemo rind, biscuity malt, spicy-sweet phenols. (3.5)

T:
Evenly bitter with good malt presence. Piney lemon water. (3.5)

M:
Prickly and evenly dry with a malty-sweet finish. Good carbonation, light-medium body. (4)

O:
Obviously a decent American IPA (hooray QC!), but I think that the bottle is pretty old.
It pours nice and maintains a really luxurious little cap of head the whole time. Both the nose and the taste were very muted-tasting to me. Almost like ghosts of what they once were. I won't know, for sure though till I get a fresh bottle (if possible).
As I had it, this was a decent, drinkable IPA by standards for QC (sorryboutit); however, if indeed it tastes like it tasted like it could when it is fresh, it is probably a much better beer than I have rated here ; )
Will have again (now I'm on a mission); worth seeking out. (3.75)

Bottle 120114. From notes.

A - Golden pour with a mildly hazy body. Good carbonation. Fluffy two finger white head left great lace rings and retention.

S - Nice sweet fruits, biscuity malt, honey, some mild pine.

T - Sweet fruit again, more grain, really restrained. Quite sweet with a weird metallic and rotten fruit component. Not the most pleasant flavour.

M - Not that bitter but it's there. Good carbonation, medium to full body.

O/D - This didn't strike me as an IPA. The hop character didn't seem like much and it came off sorta lagery. Not sure what happened but it's simply not good enough for these guys, especially these days for an IPA.
