Although not from Munich and not really a Dunkel, this "brown beer" is very similar to the average Munich Dunkel.
Light brown in color, almost amber, with rather active carbonation and a moderate white head that shrinks quickly to a thin layer and leaves a thick ring of lace.
A nice balance between fruitiness (sour and fresh) and maltiness (bread-like and a little toasty) in the nose, with a delicate spicy note in the back and probably some yeast as well. Hop level is very low.
Somewhat flat qua taste at first, yet refreshing in its mild sourness and caramelly sweetness. Towards the finish, the beer develops some decent roasty and bitter flavors and lets the slightest bit of hops shine through. Dry and a little salty in the after-taste.
A medium body with soft carbonation and a rather smooth feel to the mouth.
Not overwhelming and maybe not that profound, but still a nice and pretty decent craft beer.
