North of KC in a smaller strip mall type location.
Huge selection on shelving unit and kept cold in coolers.
Friendly and helpful owner. They carry seemingly ALL the available BA worthy beer options distributed to the area. Of course, Boulevard and Tall Grass, but also plenty of other locals, regionals and national powerhouses.
Worth a stop if passing through the area or worth checking out if you are local. Only about 10-15 mins from the KC airport.

Kind of a hole in the wall liquor store. Don't wear anything white or dry clean only if you're shopping here. Seems to attract a wide variety of people. Most come in to buy cases of Busch light and menthol 100s. That's a bit of a shame because they have a rather excellent selection of beer.
I don't care much for wine, but the store seems to have a copious amount of wine. I stopped in looking for some berliner weisse, but didn't find any here. The kid behind the counter didn't know much about it, but did have a good experience with the american craft beers. I overheard him making some thoughtful recommendations to another customer.
Watch the expiration dates. A lot of the slower moving and more esoteric beers were encased in dust. Things were just a touch more expensive than HyVee, but in line with the prices metro wide.
For instance, 6 pack of Torpedo IPA was $8.49. 6 pack of Boulevard was $6.99. Bottle of Orval was $4.99.
Huge selection of good German weizen beers, and a ton of sour beers (except the berliner weisse). Lots of farmhouse ales and saisons. Big selection of the Stone beers too.
All in all, a tip top selection of beers. I'd recommend it.

Visited this place twice, with plans to visit more often...
This place has a pretty good layout with some logic to it. Beers seemd to be layed out by country in the craft section.
Got a few tired beers here, but most were in good shape. Just be aware to check dates if feasible
Service was friendly & a few of the staff liked talking craft beer
Selection was great, nothing uber rare but pretty impressive to me. Their Deschutes offerings I've only seen here
Beer prices seem in line with other stores around KC I visited & some in Southern Mizzou

This is a really good store to visit if you ar ein the Kansas City Northland and looking for a decent brew to drink. Like was previously mentioned, it is ran by a Vietnamese couple. the husband is actually an acqaintance of mine, and really knowledgeable about beer. I just didn't visit the store, usually going to other stores in the area.
That being said, when I went in there, I was impressed. There are literally hundreds of different brews to try, all the beer is on your left when you walk on. It's on shelves as much as seven feet high, mountains of different beers to look at. I was a little embarrassed I was in there for so long.
I asked a question about the brewed date of the Stone Ruination IPA, and the husband promptly whipped out the full story of IPA's and how the brewing date isn't as important in a high-hop beer (semi-true). My one concern about this place is the age of some of the product, because there aren't many people in the area that I know of buying good beer. Most are looking for maximum quantity, so I wonder about the age of some of the beers in there.
It's a little small in there, but the beers are packed in tight and there is a bunch of them. Good knowledge base from teh owners, and you won't pay anymore here than you will anywhere else. I like it.

Bubbles is a great nieghborhood store. Their selection is comparable to other well rated stores in the area (Red X, Gomers) and prices are what you would expect. Nothing seems really over priced, but there is a wide variety of price points to choose from. The store space is pretty well evenly split into thirds for beer, liquor, and wine. Because of the generally smaller packaging, they are able to fit more beer selections into the space they have.
Their selection is awesome. I can spend hours just looking, trying to decide what to get. The majority of the imports are on shelves, with American craft brews more to the center. They have pretty consistant rotation on the craft brews, so every few weeks they'll have a new feature end cap display. With 400 different labels on hand, i'm like a kid in a candy store.
It's family owned and operated by a Vietnamese couple who are very knowledgable of the product in the store. They can help you locate soemthing in the store prety quick, or check to see if it's available from their distributors. They also have a few other knowledgable employees there. There is nothing more frustrating than having sincere questions about product returned with blank stares. Not here, everyone know their product.
Everytime I check out, the manager says thank you for buying the good stuff, and I have to say thank you for having it.
