Acquired a single bottle at a Chedraui supermarket on Hwy 307 south of Cancun, north of Tulum. Decent copy of Guinness extra stout. A little lighter than that overall, and a solid option for something a little heavier than Modelo Negra.

Appearance: Pours a coffee brown color with ruby highlights; capped with an ecru head that leaves a few strands
Smell: Roasty and slightly ashy, with caramel and coffee undertones
Taste: Roasted grains, up front, with developing caramel and coffee tones; sweet finish with a bit of a cafe con leche character
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A very light stout by the standards we are used to in the US, but it has some nice flavor and I particularly enjoyed the finish

Deepest black color with a thin caramel head, but leaving laces.
Predominant aroma of coffee and caramels.
Likewise flavor of coffee, earthy and grassy hops, caramels, lots of licorice and roasted malts. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Decent Stout, tasty and not shallow, though a bit heavy on the malt.

Received in a sampler pack from my son & his Chilean wife after they took a trip to visit family in Santiago.
Pours a rich black with only the slightest brown/ruby color showing through when held up to the light. Almost opaque. Tan half inch head that slowly faded to about 1/8 inch. Delicate lacing.
Malty roasted aroma. Mouthfeel is good with light carbonation and medium thickness.
Taste spot on for a stout. Rich roasted malts, hints of licorice, dark cherry, plum. Slight sweetness but balanced nicely with a hop bite at the end that stays in the back of your mouth.
Overall, a definite winner from Kross. Can hold its own against many US or European stouts. I'd order it on tap in a US bar. Kross beers are probably your best bet when in South America.
