Tried this beer from Kross brewery (Chile) who makes really outstanding craft beers. I bought this ESB on a 710ml bottle and it was nice to tap it in a glass, lot of foam, yellow colour, similar to a pale ale. I didn't found it so bitter though and it's not given so much more flavours of berries etc. like I was hoping for. It's easy to drink and have some nice malt smell and taste, however the K5 and K10 strong ales from this brewery is way much better. Probably not going back to this one again.

Golden amber color with a two finger head thick head with medium retention and leaving good laces.
Elegant predominant floral aroma with notes of caramel, a hint of herbal and a mild papaya. Although dry-hopped its aroma is a bit shy.
Flavor of English hops, caramels, some papaya, mild tangy citrusy and a hint of earth and grass. Dry and bitter aftertaste, though it feels like its modest 34 IBUs.
Light to medium body with good carbonation.
A lay back malty ESB, very sessionable and assertive, the whole 750ml bottle went down in a blink. Decent beer, not outstanding but a good Chilean offering if you like malty and floral beers.

Received this in a sample pack as a gift from my son & daughter in law on their return from Santiago. It doesn't show as one of the beers on their website, but the information says it will enter the rotation at some point.

Pours a nice deep amber with slight head dissipating to a ring of foam around the rim. Some slight lacing. Nose is minimal, mostly earthy and bready.

Mouthfeel is medium with smooth but crisp carbonation, appropriate for the style. Taste is malty with some ripe fruit notes, slight sweet aftertaste followed by nice spicy hop bitterness to cut the malt. Little bit of alcohol vapors afterwards.

I'm not a big fan of malt-forward beers, but this is decent. I would prefer it to, say, an Oktoberfest. Wouldn't turn one down. If you like malty beers and ESBs this would be a good change of pace.

Considering the state of beer choices in Latin America, I'd definitely seek out Kross' offerings if you travel down there.
