a: Hazy ruby tinted orange; poured with a big, short lived head.

s: Honey, raisin, sweet fruit preserves, sugary toffee.

t: Sweet overall, but I'm liking it. Nice honey and raisin together up front. Sugary towards the middle with caramel. Lingering floral spiciness. Not a classic dubbel, bur this is good stuff.

m: Soft and silky.

o: Honey substituted for sugar and generally works for me. No exception this time, I enjoyed this.

Minimal head and no lacing. 8.5 % but not too thick. Honey makes it smooth and rich. A heavy, oily after-feel. A gorgeous reddish autumn that allows a bit of light. Carbonation is slight. The description is enticing, but I can't discern it. "Dark fruit and spicy aromatics from Belgian Abbey yeast meld nicely with caramel and toffee flavors from Munich and chocolate malts....just enough bitterness for balance."
