Poured a black body with decent head and lace on top of a mostly roasted coffee aroma with touches of sweetness (caramel or chocolate is my best guess). A medium bodied beer that is not rough but a little heavy on the tongue with mostly coffee and roasted malts, perhaps some bitter chocolate, and a good coffee stout but not much else except coffee and a little sweetness as the complexity and possible hop/fruit flavors aren't around.

Appearance: Dispensed a hazy, very dark brown, near black body with a creamyish head with a light tan hue.

Smell: Roasty, coffee-scented aroma with light, supporting notes of caramel and chocolate. Some dark fruitiness, but not as expressive or characterful as one would expect from a Belgian yeast.

Taste: Lightly charred roasted malts, unsweetened chocolate, burnt toast. Medium-light sweetness. While some coffee beers, regardless of the base style, really capture that great coffee aroma and flavor, some, like GAVA, it's just sorta there. Dry, coffee-esque finish. Maybe it's just me, but the coffee stout component let me down, as did the Belgian yeast qualities. I would've thought Terrapin, who nailed it with Wake-n-Bake, would have not trouble whatsoever crafting a hit here, even at a collaborative level (Depth Charge).

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: I apologize, fellow beer lovers. I shouldn't have brought this up.

6.8% ABV Belgian Esspresso Stout with Jittery Joe's Coffee. Boy oh Boy.

A - Pitch black, fluffy, light caramel head.

S - Very WnB-esque spicy, earthy coffee notes. Slight confectioners sugar sweetness. Little to no hop aroma, also I don't get a ton of Belgian yeast esters myself.

T - Heavy roast, still getting a bit of creamy-sugary notes as well. As it warms some yeast notes try to shine through. But somewhat dissapointed by the lack of those characters. Could have taken this brew to another level.

M - Medium bodied, high carbonation and a slightly sticky finish.

O - A great brew, think WNB-lite. Wish the yeast character was a bit better executed.

32oz growler from Barrel and Barley (Woodstock, GA). 6.50 Served in a Terrapin snifter.

Pours dark brown with about one finger of tan head. A thin halo remains with tiny wisps across the surface. Very little lace.

Roasty aroma with mostly coffee and touches of caramel and faint burnt toast.

Huge dominating taste of espresso. Peeking theough all the coffee are notes of dark cocoa, dark fruit skins, burnt sugars, toast and roast malts. This is the delicious coffee flavor that I have only seen from Terrapin but in a smaller package than Wake n Bake. Goes down easily without a hint of alcohol.

Mildly creamy, medium body with fizzy but not overpowering carbonation. Bittersweet espresso, roastiness and fruit skin finish that lingers on the palate.

I'm often wary of Belgian stouts but this is almost exactly what I was hoping for. The Belgian aspect adds the bittersweet fruit skins for a nice compliment to the coffee. Too bad the two breweries decided not to bottle any of this. If you like coffee forward stouts try it if/while you can.
