This beer started slow for me then I warmed up to it. It has a decent hop character with some Belgian yeast flair to it that gave mild esters of clove, and hints of apricot. Refreshing for a summer BBQ but not a go to beer for me.

On-tap at J Brain's, on to the beer:
The light golden color topped with a short lived head invites me for a sip. Webbed lacing forms around the glass after I take a few sips and the beer's level drops in the glass. The beer has a clean aroma of grass and citrus, while the taste takes an interesting route. On the hoppy side, with notes of melon, wool, and floral. Sticking to style, the beer has a dryness after each sip, making Soul Shine an acceptable stateside Belgian-styled Pale Ale.
