Brewed in the tradition of the great English ales, its rich honey color hints at its smooth, caramel flavoring. With a medium body and slightly sweet finish, this is an extremely drinkable brew that is characterized by rich malt taste and low bitterness. Medaled at the 2001 and 2005 Great American Beer Festivals and award winner at the 2002 World Beer Cup.

A- Dark reddish brown color, semi-transparent, thin head that faded quickly
S- Caramel malts, sugary, toasted grain, light hops, hint of fruit
T- Nutty, toasted malts, caramel, herbal hops, fairly sweet, slight buttery flavor
M- Medium body, medium carbonation, starts oily then turns to a dry finish
D- Not bad
Not really a favorite of mine but still worth giving it a try. It just seems very plain to me.

Pours crystsal clear and amber in color with a 2 finger tan head and little lacing.
Aroma of Toasted malt and honey. Somewhat floral with a hint of caramel.
Taste is light sweet malts with a little tart/sweet grape. Tealike
Lightly crisp with light body, but astringent and numbing with good retention.
Well rounded, tasty and aromatic, and very easy to drink.

A very good, reliable amber ale. Though the taste and smell are nothing to write home about, the feel of it makes this one of my go to beers to end the night.
