Pours almost opaque black with brownish edging and barely a whisp of tan foam on the surface. A placid surface with zero lacing for the duration of the glass.
Aromatics are a fairly standard blend of roasted malt, light char, coffee, and chocolate. All the components are there but fairly pedestrian in nature.
Light to medium bodied with a thin mouthfeel. A bit watery.
Light roast, mild bakers chocolate, hints of coffee and black malt on the palate. Zero hopping and low bitterness. Alcohol is non-present.
Finishes quick and watery with light roast and chocolate.
This is a very average-at-best stout. By todays standards I would say below average.
