Notes/Commercial Description:
The Love is an unfiltered wheat beer, also known as a hefeweizen. It is distinguished by its extremely light body and flavored with hints of banana and clove. A slice of lemon can complement this refreshing brew.

Starr Hill The Love, poured into a Penn Weizen glass.

A hazy tangerine hue with as much yeast swirled in that I could muster. The head has an inch to boast about. Nice fluffy look to the surface foam. Seems immovable, so far.

There's a nice wheaty aroma to this one. Shows off amounts of funky banana, light grassiness, and thick slabs of white bread. Some citrusy notes that include navel orange and papaya. Faint bubblegum. A pretty nice nose, overall.

Big time German wheat malts. More grassiness is exposed early and finishes out a little stronger. Has herbal hop presence with more white bread notes. The orange-y citrus in the nose is tamer and the banana is even further behind. Lightly tropical in the fruitiness that is here. Slower to pick up yeast esters. Doesn't have any real faults, just that, in this case, less is not more.

Has a thinner feel than the appropriate creaminess that I always expect. I can describe the body and weight as sluggish, and that's about it. At least, it's that. Feels clean with that perfectly held-back level of carbonation that adds just enough intrigue to an, otherwise, pretty smooth drink.

A favorable American hefeweizen. The label might be a little tacky, but this wheat ale is legit. Easy to enjoy and simple enough to understand. The nose has some extra delights to appreciate. Wish I had another bottle to fill this big weizen glass with.

This beer is refreshing. I explored it in a variety pack in April and wondered if it was the left-over of the Valentine special. It seems insignificant at first, but the aftertaste is a perfect blend of sweet and bitter. It reminds me of Cherry Dr. Pepper but not like a thick syrup. It's light and easy to drink all night. It has a flavor that stimulates the pallet and wakes you up with a pleasant vibrancy.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a wheat beer glass. Pours cloudy orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of wheat, nothing too surprising. Tastes of wheat and very slight orange, nice combination. Beer is heavily carbonated, light bodied, good finish. Overall a slightly above average beer.

In the beer's defense the distributor I purchased it from sold beer that was bottled in September so it is not super fresh.

A-Interesting bottle design and not one that I have seen before. Pink frontal lay with the brewery name a cross the top with the name of the beer on the bottom. Good choice of cap with a gold star and red outlay (will go great with my collection). Too "feminine" for me to truly enjoy. Bonus points for putting the master brewer on the label.

S-The smell is very crisp and clean; very much what you would expect from a wheat beer.

T-The taste is surprisingly refreshing and certainly emulates the crisp and clean smell that gets your senses started.

M-There is something missing as you feel the beer hit your tongue but it very refreshing.

O-It is a good wheat beer but lacks in flavor in my book. It would be a good drink for a hot day while mowing your lawn or laying on the beach.

A: A loud, audible crackling and popping from a foamy, dirty white head leaves much to be desired with a washy, quick, descent. A hazy, brass coloring has a rapid rate of macro-bubble effervesce while the lacing is lean and disappointing.

S: Aroma of pale wheat, light rose hibiscus, small tart funk that was near moot. There really isn't alot going on here, a fade of semi-dry orange peels with a strength and complexity that was flat lining.

T: Flavor of tart orange and wheat, funk, hefeweizen yeast, bubblegum and tangerine. Hint of apple cider.

M: Mouthful was crisp, sparkling, lots of activity, feels a bit foamy when things die down.

O: Overall, moderate drinkability at best, may be a overcarbonated and hardly worthy seeking out.
