The website calls it brown ale and the bottle say porter. I don't know.
Pours a rustic brown with a slight beige head. Though small it looks dense.
Aroma has a spicy pumpkin malt bill, but also has an off aroma. I don't think the aroma mesh all that well.
Taste finds a slight pumpkin pie spice pumpkin and some nutty brown malts. The aftertaste has a medicinal off taste that, really, runs through the whole experience.
To be quite honet it was pretty tough to get through and chucking it was an option but did not happen.
Boxcar doesn't work for me and the recipe should be tweaked in my opinion.
