22 ounce bottle - Barrel & Barley Craft Beer Market
Hand-written package date of 2-24-14.
Appearance: Pours a very dark brown body with a smallish, brief, light tan head.
Smell: A rush of fresh-roasted coffee beans atop roasty, lightly chocolaty malts, a hint of a burnt element, with dark fruity esters throughout.
Taste: Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee dosed with a splash of milk and a spoonful of sugar. Thin sliver of char presents itself. Dark fruitiness. Coffee on the back half into the thinnish, nigh watery finish.
Mouthfeel: Falls a bit shy of medium-bodied and it's noticeable. Medium carbonation.
Overall: By no means is it the richest, heartiest coffee-dosed stout around, but, at least it's got a pleasing coffee-toned flavor and aroma.

Poured from a bottle into pint glass.
Appearance: Very dark almost black, with nice dark head. The head lasted forever, and left a nice coating on the inside of the glass.
Smell: Pleasant, but not overly strong. Can smell some hops and roasted malts, but it is dominated by the coffee aroma.
Taste: An interesting mix of hops, malts, and coffee, but the coffee flavor dominates. There are hints of hops, and some sweetness from the malt. This has a unique taste for a stout, and makes for an interesting alternative to other stouts. Not surprisingly since the coffee dominate the taste, there is a strong coffee influence in the after taste.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, and with an average body.
Overall: This is an interesting stout, but you have to like a stout with a strong coffee influence.
