Branagan's is a fairly new place in downtown Fullerton just up the street from Heroe's and down the street from The Olde Ship. THe place is very nice inside and is decorated in upscale Irish pub styling. Lots of clovers and green everywhere along with a pretty decent selection of Irish beers on tap. They also have the standard macros with a few other English selections, but they really do a good job hyping up the Irish pride down at this restaurant.
The menu is pretty nice and is a little more user friendly for people that don't necessarily want Irish fare. The service was pretty standard when we went in. The woman behind the bar didn't know much about the beers, so you kind of need to know what you want and what you like.
It makes for a nice change from the Olde Ship and Heroe's, but does not really pass them up for atmosphere and selection. If you are looking for English food, hit up Olde Ship. If you are looking for American and craft selections, hit up Heroe's. If you are looking for an Irish wonderland, this is the place. Fullerton is really upping their area and trying to get some nightlife started down there. This pub just adds one more place to hop to.

Located in downtown Fullerton, Branagan's offers about 20 beers on draft, additional popular beers sold in bottles, and a reasonable selecion of food. You'll see plenty of shamrocks and nostalgic signs of European beers. Perhaps needless to say, you'll also see lots of Guinness related decorations, from the Guinness toucans, The Great Guinness Toast countdown clock to St. Patricks day, to the beer itself on draft. I dropped by earlier today for a pint of Murphy's Stout. My stout was poured the proper way, and even though I might expect every Irish themed pub to follow suit, it made me a happier man when I got my beer, as stouts are famous for being inconsistently poured. Speaking of stouts, Murphy's and (especially) Beamish highlight the taps here, while others to speak of are Murphy's Red, Alaskan Amber, and Spaten Lager. Don't expect to be wowed by the selection after those, but you do get your beer served in imperial pints (at $6 a pop, which equals out to a $4.80 standard pint).
For the most part, it's a solid place to get a beer from the British Isles, but I have a couple of mild criticisms. For one, the food menu looked a little pricy. Second, the pint glasses are chilled a bit too much. And who goes to an Irish pub and orders a mug of light beer? The guy sitting next to me did.
Update: I have come back to try the bangers and mash. Quite good, although the Olde Ship a few blocks north of here has a better and bigger plate of it.
