A: Almost non existant head when poured into a standard pint glass. The foam that is produced is a bright white ring around the edge of the glass made of fine bubbles. A peachy orangy yellow color thats near crystal clear.

S: The nose is ripe with strong sweet apricot not real fruit smelling but more candy or bubble gum. thats it.

T: Very sweet artificial flavor from the apricot. A wheat flavor is detected but subtle, no hop bitterness or flavor that i pick up. Very one sided flavor.

M: High carbonation leaves a prickly mouth feel as you drink the beer. The body is light but the carbonation makes it more filling and less drinkable you might think for a 4.6% beer (even with the sweetness)

O: An overly sweet artificaly flavored fruit beer. I don't mind fruit beers on occasion but they need to be balanced and still taste like beer. this feel far from that mark.

12 oz bottle pours a hazed gold color with a small, rapidly diminishing white head. Not much retention or lace.

Nose smells exactly like those sugar coated Haribo gummi peaches. Isnt necessarily a bad thing, those candies smell freaking delicious...though artificial as hell.

Taste is a little more beery, with a light grain bill fleshing out some serious dried apricot flavor. Pretty tasty actually...kind of like a Nehi Peach soda blended with a crisp American Wheat. Not sure if Id buy it again, but I enjoyed my 12 oz sample well enough.

138 calories per bottle at 4.6% ABV. The initial smell is very strong apricot but not too much to be unsatisfying. The taste is buttery with a medium compliment of apricot but the aftertaste is quite different - I get a sense of old warm apricot. That's the main thing that has me rank this so low. I could probably drink this 5 straight before getting sick and might try again sometime, it's just not a real favorite in my personal opinion. The buttery popcorn taste might be the reason? unsure...

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: Pours a clear golden color with plenty of evident carbonation. The head is a creamy one finger off-white shade. It doesn't fade so much as slowly settle after a while.

S: I do get a little bit of apricot...but I also get something else. BUTTER. More specifically, buttered popcorn. Hey, this is brewed by Shipyard, so I guess it's not really a surprise. While I don't like the aroma, I can't help inhaling this - it's like a car crash for the olfactory senses.

T: Can you say diacetyl bomb? It really opens the brew up in a not-so-pleasing manner. Give it a few more sips, and the buttered popcorn flavor gradually turns into a generic apricot one. About the only good thing here is that it's not (massively) cloying. All that diacetyl doin' it's job, I s'pose.

M: Carbonation is strong, but not harsh. It still makes me gassy, though. Nor did I expect it to be this dry - or maybe I should say less dry than the typical fruit beer. Like I said, at least it's not cloying.

O: This one is no good, but not horrible enough to drainpour. Basically a case of right idea, wrong execution. Next!

We paired this beer with our Shrimp Po'Boys with peach, mango salsa. The beer was perfect for our intention, to compliment the salsa and tone down the spiciness of the shrimp. I would definitely recommend pairing this bear with similar summer style salsas but would limit my consumption to one of two beers, the flavor can begin to overtake the flavor of the food.

Golden beer with a very thin, bubbly head that's gone almost immediately. Aromas of apricot, florals, and faint traces of vegetable. Pleasing apricot flavor with some notes of breads and florals. Like the raspberry version, this is an easy drinker but nothing extraordinary.

I tolerate this style better than most beer drinkers. I love a change of pace with a little fruit but still having a great beer taste. This is pretty typical of fruit beers.

The color is weak and beer like. It is pretty clear. The aroma is a distinct sweet (apricot) smell, with beer.

The taste works, is is a great blend of fruit with wheat ale. The aftertaste is odd, but appropriate. Beer plus fruit. Overall, this is like manhy others. I have several other Sea Dogs to try this week. I hope I don't get sick of them.

Not a big fan of Fruit / Vegetable beers however this one wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Out of the bottle the pour was nice and head was average, which quickly dissipated.

Appearance: was golden to almost amber and carbonation on the average side.

Smell: was pure apricot with a slight beer aroma in the background.

Taste: was apricots with a beer flavor. I expected it to be much sweeter than it actually was, which was refreshing to find.

Mouthfeel: was average and taste lingered like an ale should.

Overall it was a decent Fruit / Vegetable beer not my favorite and probably won't revisit anytime soon.
