Hit this place after work while in Columbia instead fo the other 'brewpubs' which I've been to before, hoping for something a little different/better. The beer selection was ok to decent, 4 or 5 New Belgium taps, a schlafly and Boulevard, guiness, and other BMC products. The food was good, and I happen to like Ranger and Tripel from New Belgium, so I enjoyed those. Both were served in pint glasses, so not the proper glassware. I sat at the bar, service was decent, but nothing special. There was a nice variety of food choices, too, and prices were reasonable.

I have been to Addisons many times and feel it is a decent place to grab a bite to eat in the downtown area. Most of their food is good but nothing on the menu is much above average. They do have a wide variety of food, so pleasing everyone in a group is usually pretty easy. Beer selection is subpar. Usually a lot of New Belgian taps, some schlafly, and boulevard. Then your typical macro/imports. Bottle list is never up to date. Service is usually good but have a bad experience or two. Not the best place in town for food or beer but by no means the worst.

Addison's is located in "The District" in downtown Columbia. Its basically an upscale college restaurant. The atmosphere is fresh. Huge painting adorn the walls, over top a aged facade on the walls. Booths line the right hand side with tables all over the rest of the restaurant. A large bar with about 15-20 seats is on the left hand side of the restaurant. The service is always excellent. The waitstaff and barstaff are friendly and efficient. Drinks were never empty and the food was prompt. The food is excellent. I've never had a bad meal. The Nachos Bianco are absolutely the best nachos I've ever had. Simply marvelous. The blue steak wrap is also excellent.
Addison's has about 20 taps and probably just as many bottles. Along with the ubiquitous BMC taps, they also have several Boulevard brews, New Belgium, Guinness, New Castle, Blue Moon, and several others. The bottle selection is about the same containing several Macros but also a handful of good craft beers. If you find yourself downtown (and Sycamore is packed or closed) Addison's is a good back up.

UPDATE: The variety of new breweries available in Columbia has grown remarkably in the last 4 years. However, Addison's beer list has hardly changed since my original review.
Addison's is a fairly nice restaurant in a college town. It is decorated art-deco. The bar probably seats about 20 with 3 flat screen TV's positioned overhead. The food is always very good. They have nice wraps, pizzas, sandwiches, pasta and more elegant dishes, as well.
As for the beer, they have 15 taps and over 20 bottles. As of memorial weekend 06, here's their tap list: Bud, Bud Light, Amber Bock, 5 New Belgium products (Skinny Dip, 1554, Sunsine Wheat, Fat Tire, Blue Paddle), a Schlafly seasonal, Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat, Sierra Nevada PA, Abita Turbodog, Newcastle, Guinness and Bass.
Bottles: Shiner Bock, Corona, St. Pauli, Heineken, Smirnoff, Stag, 3 Buds (Bud, Light and Select), Coors Light, Miller Lite and High Life, Busch Light, Rolling Rock, Mich. Ultra and Light, Chimay, Grolsch, Amstel Light Pilsner Urquell and Kaliner NA.
The majority of the taps run $3.50 (Newcastle, Guinness and Bass are $4.25 and Bud products are $2.75). Their Happy Hour is a great deal but it caters to a college crowd. It runs from 10pm to Midnight with half-price appetizers and $2 pints. As their beer lists states, "Yes, that includes Guinness!!"
The food there is always good and I love that they always have 5 or so New Belgium taps. Over the winter the had NB's 2 Degrees Below and Biere de Mars in the spring. Great place!
