A - Lots of cream coloured frothy head topping a dark brown beer which lets only slivers of red light through in the dim bar.

S - Dark roasted malts and the smell of burnt sugar and toffee are the most obvious smells, followed by a great leafy nose full of strong American hops.

T - Lots of dark malt tastes and hints of caramel are immediately followed by the strong bitter bite of hops. There is a rather strong taste of espresso and cocoa apparent, emerging between the sweet burned malts and the bitter hops.

M - Smooth and creamy, yet still dryingly refreshing due to the hops. Quite satisfying

D - Very drinkable, the refreshing quality of the hops and the sweeter taste of the brown ale's malts make a great combination and make this beer a winner.

Chocolate brown with a little white head. Enjoyed at the brew pub, where the beers are served nicely just a bit cold and understated carbonation. This beer had lace, medium mouthfeel, was hoppy and malty. However root beerish sasaparilla flavour.Take it or leave it.
