On tap at Gambrinus in London, Ontario.

Appearance - hazy orange with a thin, but persistent head. Leaves great sheets of lacing as it recedes.

Smell - A little bit of caramel and some fruity hops. Not the typical citrus and floral of most IPAs, but those aren't characteristsics of Pacific Gem hops. Overall the aroma is nice, but not as intense as I like to see in an IPA.

Taste - Deep toffee malt sweetness and berry-like hops fruitiness withy a nice bracing bitterness throughout. Finishes a little on the sweet side with a pleasantly lingering bitter aftertaste.

Overall, this a a very good IPA. The Pacific Gem hops are different and very good.

On tap at Bar Volo IPA Day. Reminds me of a Belgian IPA. Cloudy grapefuit and fruit shake look, yet still reveals carbonation bubbles. Lacey. Yeastiness and wheat more than malt noticed as offset to hops. Good drinkability though average mouthfeel. Faint hop aroma.
