Set in a little unasumming strip mall just off the 57 in Glendora, Lone Hill is the last place you'd look to find one of the best liquor/beer stores in the Southland, but here it is. A bit of a drive, but worth it. As many have said they have the elusive East Coast and Midwest beers that my brother in Chicago can get easily, but I can't. Occasionally, they even have the elusive, hard to find Dogfish Head 120 and Bell's Expedition Stout, but they didn't this time, though they had the elusive Ommegeddon. They even had some of the rare, harder to find Rogue beers that I haven't seen anywhere else. While I was there, I picked up a Great Divide Old Ruffian, the aforementioned Ommegeddon, a Gumballhead, a Founders' Black Rye, and an Alpha King which I already had as I write this report, delicious and tasty. So, if you're getting your kicks on Route 66, and you like beer, stop in, you won't be dissapointed in my opinion, heck, I drive 35 miles to get to this place.

Second stop of the LA area day, right after stopping at Hollingshead's so it had some big shoes to live up to. Upon entering I was left wondering if I was in the right spot. All of the beer is located in the cold fridges on the right side of the store. Spirits are mostly behind the counter and wine is in the middle, they outnumber beer approximately 3:1. Atmosphere was decent. I could feel the guy behind the counters eyes follow me around the store which was a little off putting. Service was much the same, he never once asked if I needed help and my only interaction with him was brief and to the point. Quality was pretty solid. I didn't notice anything our of date so no problems there. Selection was good but nothing amazing. Plenty of national and international brands mixed with the normal regional ones, nothing overly rare or anything like that. Prices were typical for the area. Overall a decent bottle shop but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it again.
