Eleven separate additions of cascade hops give this American pale ale its lush citrus aroma and bold hop flavor without crazy bitterness.

Pours slightly hazed golden with a thin off-white head that slowly becomes wispy, leaving some strands of lacing.

The smell is of citrus with cracker-like bread in the back.

The taste is of bitter tea-like herbs and citrus fruits - grapefruit and pineapple most notably. A cracker-like pale malt is in the background, with a growing sweetness that balances the bitterness, while allowing the Cascade hop flavor forward.

It has medium carbonation with a medium body. It has some chewiness and a long finish.

This is a solid example of an American Pale Ale that uses Cascade hops! Very enjoyable and easy to drink!

Poured into a Bell's tulip on 7/23/12

A) Deep honey-amber with faded tobacco highlights. Billowy three finger head collapses slowly to a 1/4th inch layer. A crackling upper tier of lace leads down to thick swaths farther down.

S) Compact aroma of notes of orange peel, musty grass, earth, caramel and biscuit.

T) Mild pine greets the palate with a comparably mild bitterness. Pepperings of dank citrus here and there. Earthy finish. Toasted biscuit with a hint of caramel sweetness.

M) medium-light body made crisp by a dose of high carbonation. The feel is kind of coating in a dusty way.

D) Not a bad beer despite being too malty for my usual fancies. I drank it warmer than fridge temperature; probably would have liked it better if I had it colder.

A - Lots of white head, nice cloudy orange color

S - Very hoppy, some citrus

T - Hops right out of the gate, citrus flavor, bitterness at times, very dry aftertaste

M - Crisp on the tongue, decent carbonation, very dry finish

O - Bought a 6-pack of this on our annual Fall trip to Wisconsin for apples. I love a lot of hop-forward beers but this one was a bit too dry for my tastes. Still not a bad beer.
