Notes/Commercial Description:
With a fury of hop flavor and a hint of malt backbone, this west coast amber is part ale, part sensory eruption, and all American.

Poured out as a deep red color, the head was foamy and cream colored. The lacing and retention was pretty good on this leaving streaks down the glass. The smell of the beer is hoppy, very bold aromas on this one and very inviting. The taste of the beer is nicely balanced with a malt backbone and a high bitter finish. The mouthfeel of the beer is medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation to it. Overall this is probably one of the best brews that Ale Asylum makes. I found this one to be very enjoyable.

This beer was served in a pint glass.

A- The body of the beer is a very clear honey / amber coloration. The head was a thick and rocky biege coloration. Nice head retention noted thick lacing marks this beers passage.

S- The aroma of the beer has a nice undertone of caramel and breadyness. The main aroma of the beer smells like someone has squeezed wet hops into the beer. Wet grass, orange zest, grapefruit pith, grapefruit, peaches, with pine resin.

T- The hop flavors dont reach to the level of the aromas hoppyness. The caramel candies the pine and grapefruit flavors. Nicely balanced between the bitterness and the caramel backbone.

M- The body of the beer is medium and well carbonated. Nicely balanced hops and malts.

O- If this beer came to my distribution area I would pick it up again a very solid local treat.
