A blend of seven unique malts give this brown ale an earthy aroma and a flavor reminiscent of caramel with a slightly creamy finish.

Note: This came from a can that had been frozen solid; this may have affected the beer in some way, so take this review with a grain of salt.

Look: Dark brown/mahogany with a tan head.

Smell: Nutty (pecan and hazelnut), malty, sweet, earthy.

Taste: The taste follows the nose; rich hazelnuts and sweet malts combined with a more bitter earthy taste. The aftertaste is a bit more "plain" barley and yeast.

Feel: Normal carbonation, medium body, sort of a watery feel. Leaves a dry mouthfeel.

Overall: Pretty solid beer; not sure the aficionados will like it much, but I think it's quite accessible, a fine beer to relax with.

It's an okay brown ale but it's watery. The flavors are there, you can tell they are there but it's too drowned out by the water. It's disappointing because you can tell this beer would have been something special but the execution isn't there.

Had this on my trip out to Milwaukee for Summerfest and its high point of the Chris Stapleton and Tom Petty/Heartbreakers headliners. Pours a brown color with plenty of heart and viscosity to it, this isn't a thin Newcastle type of brown ale, plenty of earthiness in the pour despite possessing relatively good clarity for a brown ale. Solid 2/5" lighter brown head on top. Aroma hits you in the nutty, caramel and toffee places.

Taste also hits you in the nutty, caramel and toffee places. Even a hint of chocolate to it. Some dark bread feels without being super hefty. Hopping is minimal and to style. Speaking of style, its pretty much within guidelines, which won't excite too many of us (hey including me, I'm not sanctimonious about it). I thought it did everything better than average and would recommend to the hypothetical brown ale fan.

Clear brown pour with a tan head. Nice nutty and malty aroma with a hint of brown sugar and caramel. Taste follows the nose with nut and sweet malt flavors. Can also taste bread and earthy hops.

Very creamy brown ale, reminds me of a bigger Newcastle. Sort of comes off like a chocolate banana but finishes flat. Decent dessert beer, but I wouldn’t open a second.
