look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Appearance: Arrives with a tea brown color, a nice head, good retention and decent lacing

Smell: Brown bread, caramel, nuts and a hint of chocolate

Taste: The elements in the aroma appear on the palate, but there is a stronger sense of nuts and chocolate on the finish than I picked up when I smelled the beer

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: I generally find brown ales pretty boring but the flavors here caught my attention; that's about as good as it gets with this style

Big caramel nose with a hint of chocolate
Pours slightly hazy medium brown under a thin off-white head.
The palate begins with mildly sweet light caramel flavors and then finishes dry with a touch of chocolate.
This is a refreshing medium body, medium to medium low carbonation session beer.

From notes on 11/9/13

Nutty earthy taste. Maybe some caramel in there too. Dark brown color. Creamy white head. Ok beer. One of my least favorites from ale asylum.
