A: Light tobacco brown with lots of suspended particles and a thin beige head that retains slightly without lacing.

S: Malt, coffee, hops, bready, some caramel sweetness.

T: Malts and bready tastes are most prominent. Some hoppy bitterness.

M: Good carbonation bite, malt toasty, and a fair aftertaste.

To be completely honest this is the beer that really got me into beer and will always be one of my favorites. Alright onto the review.

Appearance: Pours a nice brown color with nice tan foam. A little cloudy as with all AA beers due to the lack of filtering.

Smell: Right away the beer tells you that you're about to taste something malty and complex. I cannot pick out any scent from hops but that's not what this beer is about.

Taste: The beer advertises the use of seven different malts, and here's the thing you can taste all of them. For such an easy drinking beer this is really overflowing with malt flavor. Each sip gives further information about the complexity of this beer. It hits all of the characteristics of malt flavors. You get sweet/caramel, bready, toasty, and chocolaty flavors with even a little venture into roasty flavors. From time to time I even notice some hop presence (if I want to look for it). It even leaves a nice aftertaste that lingers on the tongue.

Mouthfeel: Really good level of carbonation and body. Just enough to stand up to the complex flavors without making the beer unnecessarily heavy. Smooth, sturdy, and surprisingly drinkable.

I absolutely love this beer. The best compliment I can give it is that in no occasion would I not want to be drinking one. If you can find it it's even better on tap, and unfairly good when dispensed at the brewery.

Another solid design on this bottle, the grave diggers and the face with moustache in the moon.

A: Amber to brown coloration with decent lacing. Cloudy and slighty higher in carbonation.

S: Nutty malts with a sweet caramel aroma as required by the style.

T: Sweet malts in the nose followed by waffle syrup and hints of bittering in the finish.

M: washes well and doesnt leave much jazz on the tounge. just easy drinkin sweet brown.

O: great beer with rich malt character, not a must have for the style but bashes a newcastle over the head and buries it.
