12 oz. bottle poured into a tumbler.
A- Very turbid brown body is poured. Light brown, creamy head.
S- Caramel mixed with a little booze and a little nut.
T- Sweet caramel, with a bit of a nuttiness to the flavor as well.
M- Slight creaminess. Carbonation isn't very noticeable. Finish is smooth and sweet.
O- I'd like more from the body of this beer, for some reason, and I think the taste could be a little bolder.

I was not "mad" about the Madtown Nutbrown. Definitely di not rank in my top ten for brown ales. The beer pour a nice brownish amber with ok head that did not lace. The scent carried earthy and malt aromas but nothing out of control. The taste was more like a watered caramel coffee. The mouthfeel was light in body with decent carbonation. Overall it was just ok....definitely worth a try.

Ok,this Ale after a long day of work it was the worst tasting and foul Ale I have ever had.Trust me I have had all kinds of beers and ales in the Military in various countries on my off time. The first swig left an aftertaste that lasted for 4 hours and still remains after chasing it with coffee and pepsi, even mouthwash and tooth paste could not get the foul taste out of my mouth. The taste was like rotten carrots and moldy coffee grounds. If you want a dark beer stick to something safe like Guines. Sorry But the MADTOWN NUTBROWN Asylum ....is for crazy people to drink...Any sane hard working man would take a swig...of one bottle and smash it...The rest I plan on getting my 8 bucks back from Burnsteads Market....If that dont work I am going to shoot the rest of the bottles with my .45 S&W....This beer is horrible. Perhaps good for younger more liberal tastes...you know the Starbucks Coffee Drinkers....which was rated one of the worst tasting cofees....its only popular by name. Good name for an Ale...but sorry you lose with me. Also I might add I am sorry for the over critical review....But I am calling a spade a spade.
