Our porter is dark in color yet soft on the palate. English chocolate malts give it a complex, rich flavor wrapped in a silky smooth finish.

I have limited experience with porters but I have generally enjoyed the few I have tried, This porter came in a dark brown 12 ounce bottle. I couldn't find an expiration date on the bottle. perhaps thats why it had a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste. It was a bit too malty for me. It wasn't terrible, just not fo rme.

Dark brown body; thin, bubbly head. Nice charred grain aroma; a bit of ash and smoke. Some chocolate notes; a fine hop bitterness. Medium body; watery; some dark grain warmth.

The beer is drinkable yet is rather weak in appearance, overall flavor, and mouthfeel.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a nice one finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Sly lacing. The aroma starts with some roasty coffee and cocoa bean. Some dried dark cocoa powder fluffs it up a bit. The flavor balances nicely between the sweet and the roast. Sly crisp sweet to roasty aftertaste with a nice sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation helps it feel smooth all around. Overall, this was a nice porter worthy of having again.

Pours a dark brown color with tan colored head. Roasted malts, coffee, and some sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium to full bodied. Finishes with roast and cocoa.

Dark brown pour, very luxurious and deep, a perfect full inch of tan tiny bubbled head with substantial retention. Good roasty notes, English porter done heavy.

Taste much like the aroma was deeper and more substantial than what I've come to know English porters as. The chocolate malt was deep, heavy, without getting overly sweet.

This is an enjoyable porter, pretty easy and flavorful to knock 12oz of these back.

Pours dark red-brown, almost black. Only intense light permeates. Extremely short-lived creamy-tan head. Aroma is entirely malty. Tastes much more like a hearty nut brown ale than other porters I've had. Lacks the bitterness usually associated with porters and stouts (light bitterness usually achieved with coffee or cocoa nibs.) Hop flavors almost absent. Carbonation is mild, making for mellow sipping. Very enjoyable.
