Appearance- Murky light orange. Pours with a finger of white head that fades to tiny bubbles covering the surface
Smell- Nose is my favorite part of this beer. Tropical fruit and citrus with a hint of alcohol behind that.
Taste- Taste follows the nose with a nice citrus burst followed by a pleasant bitterness that washes over at the end. Love the citra hops in this one.
Mouthfeel- On the full side for an ipa. Very creamy upfront but the carbonation gives a crisp finish.
Overall- Bedlam is a great example of what a Belgian ipa can and should be. I can't get enough of that big tropical/citrus flavor. The body is different and more interesting then a run of the mill ipa. Never hesitate to grab a 6 of this when I come across it.

12 oz. bottle, with a space for an enjoy by date, but it is left blank. My third beer from Ale Asylum, expectations are high based on this beer's good ratings.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - Pours a coppery burnt orange colored body with some dark flecks of sediment floating around and three big fluffy fingers of off-white head. Nice big scattered lacing. Looks very nice.
S - Smell is comprised of a prominent fruity / earthy yeast presence, and a nice dosage of fresh piney / tropical hop smells. Grapefruit, orange, pine, caramel & rye malt, and some bubblegum / clove / spice presence.
T - Taste follows the nose - a good pairing of fruity bubblegum yeast, clove, apple, pear, grapefruit, pine, and some cracked pepper / rye malt / caramel malt to round things off.
M - Feel is super smooth and creamy. Bitterness is light, but present. Green apple stickiness, bready, & malty. Mild warming alcohol presence.
Overall, a good representation of the style. Very nice balance, depth, and duration of flavor. I would have it again, and I look forward to more from Ale Asylum.
