Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into an Allagash cervoise glass.

A: Voluminous head. Hazy yellow-brown impenetrable body. Heavy lacing.

S: It smells amazing. Beautiful, bountiful hops. Floral. Heavy citrus. Dank and bitter.

T/M: Wow! That...is big. A big, big beer. Loads of hops strike first, but in a big, ponderous, boozy way. Moderate-bodied with a fruity-piney main/endtaste. Yum.

O: I loved this beer. Highly recommended.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a fine one finger off-white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Rich aroma of caramel malt, tropical fruit, lighter citrus and citrus hops. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit rind, finishes with high octane resiny pine and citrus hop bitterness, warming. Very pleasant creamy body. An intense but balanced IIPA, there is a bit of booziness in the finish, but it is accompanied by great hop flavors. Port has shown they can produce tasty IPAs and this is one of them. This bottle is now about two months old and still has great hop character. I came back to add a bit to the taste points after my first glass, chalk it up to the high ABV talking, but this ale tasted great with every sip.

Good looks dark orange and rocky head
Great fruity aroma even already 6 months old
Malty and alcohol, boozy
medium body, appropriate carbs, lots of heat
Good DIPA but too but too much booze/heat
