another in the extras from a trade with that annoying garden gnome we call patronwizard.
Poured into a St. Arnold Elissa IPA pint glass.
A. golden body with a think white head with damn good retention.
S. I know I just got over a cold and my nose is still a little fucked up but I don't smell a damn thing. a slight orange scent to this and that's about all she wrote... and that's about all I'm gonna write for the smell... Because there isn't one.
T. Taste more than makes up for the lack of smell. Big ass hops kick with a citrus, grassy hops and the the slight burn of booze in the finish. slight malt is in there with the booze but hot damn if this doesn't bring out all 15 different hops in it.
M. Mouthfeel is sticky, slightly carbonated and damn quenching. I grabbed this because I was feeling a bit parched and it delivered.
D. This is a toss up for me. The initial half glass gulp that I threw down at first to kill the dry mouth said "damn good drinkability. But how much could you drink of a 10%er without getting hurt. big numbers docked this one a slight bit.
Overall: #2 or 3 in my favorites so far for the style. Does it beat PtE? No. Does it hold it's own against the rest of the category? with ease
