Appearance: Bubbly head of a finger and a half. Color is orange with a murky body. Sticky lacing left behind with each drink. Average active carbonation.
Smell: Soft fruits greet the palate. Tons of citrus, grapefruit, kiwis, pineapple, and mangos. Light caramel malt sweetness gives the bright hops a great base to stand on. Some piney bitterness picked up on the back end with a touch of alcohol.
Taste: Grapefruit, pineapple, mangos, and sweet citrus greets the palate and slowly warms into the body. Tropical fruits continue to flow over the palate in waves then adds a touch of caramel malt and piney bitterness. Soft fruits and a lingering bitterness sit on the palate long after drinking.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is masterfully done, providing a soft feeling which lets the hops shine through.
Overall: A masterfully executed DIPA. An absolute must try for a hop head. Port doesn't have the hype that many others do but they rarely miss. Completely top notch stuff.
