Poured on tap into a tulip.
Appearance - gold/orange, noticeable carbonation, thin white head that leaves light lacing.
Smell - smack you in the face citrus and floral hops!
Taste - follows the nose with an aggressive hop profile.
Feel - hop bitterness and a touch of alcohol.
Overall - very good and enjoyable DIPA, a bit overpriced and one-sided, however.

heady, to say the least, easy 3 fingers of white foam, absolute maelstrom of bubbles feeding this thing, kind of a glowing dark straw hue but nice and clean/clear clarity wise, lacing is ridiculous as well as the staying power of the foam hat topping this bad boy, great looking brew, almost as nice as leaked selfies of scarlett johanssen (so I heard...)
where to begin ? a true hop-a-palooza (ohh that made me cringe, sorry), a broad range of lovely hop aromas here, here is a peek at what is poking its way around here: mangoes, herbal, grassy, citrus, stinky weed, malty sweetness.. as crazy as this is the balance is there with the hops vs the malt, really nice
big ? sheesh, about 15 inches thrust down.. um, bad analogy, but I think it might have been said best in full metal jacket (but I will paraphrase)
Too Boku, Too Boku
no, this is 100% pure californian DIPA, no too boku
anyhoo, this goes big and stays big, you sense the alcohol but that's fine, the hops are super present but not taste bud serial killers, the malt really holds up here making this one delicious roll in the hay (or hops as it were), this certainly is not a shy minx, damn this mule kicks,
a testament to west coast brash and technical ability of the brewer, where as some port stuff strikes me as astringent this hits all the right notes, I mean it has the right weight, the right carbonation, crazy amounts of hops, big kick, and just superb all around.
47 ronin may have sucked but hop 15 is a goddamn summer blockbuster no matter what time you unleash it on to your beer Ka... this is one to punch your mom in the face for.
