A: Sunny orange with almost no head that ends up a thin ring of bubbles along the outside.
S: Nice brown sugar and butterscotch maltiness with some spice. Maple syrup as well and sme bready yeast.
T/M: When I first poured this I almost thought I got a bad one becuase there was so little carbonation, but tasting it, it's obviously just very lowly carbonated. Moutfeel is syrupy but a touch light. Carbonation is too low to me. Flavors are real nice for a DIPA. Nice spicy hop element, very hoppy, but the balance ie there with the brwon sugar and butterscotch malt and some earthiness as well.
D: Overall, for a 10% DIPA, I thought it drank pretty well.
Ovr: Port is new into the Chicago market, and I was really excited to try this one. I think most of it is there for me, it's just under carbonated. But really nice hop presence and balance. I look forward to trying more of the Port and Lost Abbey
