16oz pint served to me at front street cantina. brought out in an unbranded glass. its been a while since i reviewed the bottled version, well see how my tastes have changed and they compare.
A- this is brought to me looking a hazy glowing golden orange colored body under a small and tightly knit bright white head. the head lasts for a while, and leaves behind complete rings of lacing.
S- very hoppy. lots of bitter grapefruit erupting from my glass. pine comes through also. sweet caramel malts move in towards the end and attempt to balance this.
T- the taste starts out with more of the caramel malts that i could smell, which add a balancing sweetness. after that it quickly becomes all about the overpowering hops. bitter grapefruit smashes through and leads the way for pine and light fruity notes.
M- the body is medium, maybe on the upper side of that. the carbonation is a solid medium. nice and bitter. leaves me thirsty.
O- a fine IPA, weather out of the bottle or out of the keg. if this was sold in six packs with bottled on dates i would move this into my regular rotation. i have a lot of love for this seemingly under appreciated IPA

A classic West Coast IPA. A beautiful strong head that lasts. Strong citrus notes. Light pine after flavors. I was expecting a heaver flavor by the appearance, but a rather light IPA. Very good, but for a great IPA, try Port Brewing anniversary imperial IPA.
