A : an aggressive pour yields nothing but head. Let's try again in the tulip this time...same thing from a very very careful pour. the color is a murky reddish brown and the head is super thick and sticky looking. Light tan in color. Lacing all over throughout the glasses. If the head was a little less I'd love the appearance
S : rubbing alcohol and a bit of mahogany and sweet malts. a little bit of cirtus and floral hops that are slightly bitter.
T : starts sweet with a nice fruit candy flavor. enjoyable. A tinge of bitter piney hops with a back end of citrus hops. A mini chocolate flavor towards the end that is underneath the nice bitter hops and possibly a bit of smokiness as well.
M : way too much head made the beer in both the small tasting glass and tulip a bit flat. A bit warming but otherwise nice and full, with a good lingering hop on the tongue.
A really good beer that if cleaned up a bit would be really excellent. I'm not sure if it was the bottle or what but It was sitting quietly in the fridge and wasn't jostled at all. I'd love to try it again a bit fresher (bottle date 4/2811)

Hazy red, dark brown, with a three finger high, beige-yellow, creamy head that leaves lacing on the glass.
Nose: A rich, full nose of butter, caramel malt, fudge, grass, raisin, plum, hoppy, resin and grape. I just love that smell!
Taste: Oily with citrus, toffee, caramel malt, creamy taste, raisin, plum, orange marmelade and dried fruit.
A full body with a good, full texture. A great carbonation and a well balanced bitterness.
Just a GREAT beer!
