Re-reviewing since I got a fresher bottle. Bottled 11/16/11.
A: hazy orange Amber color with a big fluffy beige colored head. Lots of syrupy sticky lacing.
S: lots of floral, citrus, pine, and sweet tropical fruit. Honey sweet malt is also detectible. Sweet sweet nectar.
T: follows nose, pronounced citrus flavor, tangerine, grapefruit, and sweet tropical fruit: mango, pineapple. Also a hint of tobacco. Sweet malt does enough to give this some body, but its all hop. Dry bitter grapefruit in the finish.
M: crisp, hop bite, medium body, a little syrupy. Dry finish.
O: so glad we can get this in nj. It's one of the best beers I've ever had. Amazing what a couple of months fresher can do for an IPA. I need some pliny to compare this side by side.
