Picked up a bomber in Madrid. A bit pricey but a new beer so why not? Pours a hazy light orange into my wine glass. Nice head retention and lacing. Nice fruity piney smell. Very bold hoppy flavor. Alcohol is masked by the flavor but it could be a tad. Ore complex and balanced. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and oily from hops. Overall an excellent double IPA. Will try more Port beers.

Poured into an imperial nonic a hazed lemony yellow with a tinge of deep orange,a large blooming white head atop.A mix of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and a little pine resin in the nose, sweet caramel malt melds very well with the complex hop profile. Not an intense bitter hop flavor to the beer but well rounded fruitiness, mango, orange, and grapefruit flavors abound,a little bitterness comes into play in the finish.the caramel base hold thru to the finish. This a great left coast ipa, more of a well rounded approach than a bitter in your face beer.I loved it.

Appearance - This is a beautiful, and I mean absolutely gorgeous copper in color with a serious head that showed great retention and left a nice film on the inside of my glass.

Smell - This smells dry-hopped but it doesn't indicate dry-hopping on the company website. Either way, the Three C's are huge here at the nose and balanced in a really fun way that provides a huge, resiny nose. The hops are just dripping here and smell fresh like they are still in the ground.

The malt is hard to find through the hops. It's there but certainly not balancing, which of course all the hopheads could care a less.

Taste - The raunchy hops just do not let up at the taste. They are rank, I mean as nasty as I've ever had them. I think The Chunks is the only beer I've had with a bigger raw hop flavor than this. If you like hops then drink this beer on your deathbed.

The malt, well, I can get a sense of it but the hops are just so big it's hard to find them. If you're looking for a well-balanced DIPA this is not it - lol.

Mouthfeel - This is medium-bodied with a nice, live yet muted carbonation and a monster hop aftertaste that will keep the hop belches going all night long.

Drinkability - Well if we're rating the beer on balance it's a 2, but if you want a big, gigantic hop experience this can't be beat on the open market.

A - Pours a hazy orange/brown with some suspended material and three fingers of dense light tan head. Head has great retention coats the glass with lacing.

S - Big burst of pine with some nice citrus as well. Faint caramel malt.

T - Still a nice resinous bitter bite even if it isn't the freshest bottle. Very piney and grassy with some grapefruit zest. Just enough caramel malt. Solid bitter bomb.

M - Medium mouthfeel with long lingering bitterness. Very dry. Somewhat creamy.

O - Definitely a bruising bitter beer, but very good flavors. Solid DIPA all around.

22oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a huge creamy rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is meloney citrus and piney, resiny, stinky hops.

The flavor is some sweet melon with a big resiny tarry, slightly charred hop finish with bitterness that dominates the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.

Overall, a good DIPA. It's definitely big in the hops - a bit to tarry / charred for me with a huge bitter aftertaste. The sweet fruits help to balance it a little, but not much.

$7.95 for the bomber, purchased at Spirit Haus in Amherst, MA. No freshness info/dating.

Pours hazed, dull golden amber, under an initially huge eggshell head. Nice fade to a loose and creamy merainge, thick ringed sheeting.

Pungent floral nose of spiced mango, lavender, grapefruit pith.

Luscious loads of spicy, tropical/citric, peppery hops. Wonderfully packed with flavor and intrigue. Notes of gin, mint, more peppery tropical fruits. Quite dry on the tongue. Final pour reveals and healthy dose of yeast that was riding on the bottom of the bottle.

Very enjoyable DIPA...I wish PORT distributed to NY state, I typically love their beers and this one is clearly no exception.

Served in a pint glass from a 22oz bomber. Pours a golden amber hue with a one finger head that dissipates quickly. The initial smell is of pine. The mouthfeel is creamy, this beer feels good as it goes down. There is a slight bitterness at the end, but but not overly so. All in all a well done DIPA. This one will be a regular at our house.

Thanks to Exiled for sharing this 1-liter hand bottle.

The beer pours a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma is citrus and floral hops. I get some pine as well as tangerine and orange. The flavor is orange citrus with medium bitterness. As the beer warms I get some piney notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
