-orange with an accent of brown...aka a light auburn i suppose. pours a tall fluffy off white head
-the nose speaks of orange rind, lawn grass and maybe some lemon to mix in with that orange
-definitely a very rindy style citrusy (orange, lemon, grapefruit) IPA. i feel that the strong rind taste is due to the fact that the bitterness starts from the beginning and lingers all the way to the finish. the bitterness (over the hop flavor) covers up most of the malt sweetness
-i've eaten an orange without peeling it before just for kicks and my mouth resembles that experience now. a strong, lingering bitterness that is borderline cloying
-this is really bitter, which is fine, but there isnt much balance to all the bitterness. nobody just likes eating straight orange rind right?
