American IPA |  7.20% ABV

Availability: Year-round

Notes/Commercial Description:
This unique India Pale Ale features our favorite hops—Simcoe, Amarillo and Nugget. A generous Amarillo and Simcoe dry hop provide for an assertive, hop-forward nose and front palate. We don’t use traditional bittering hops in our IPA, providing nothing but stimulating citrus and floral characteristics.

Inspired by a recipe from our good friend and fellow homebrewer Tim from the North Shore Homebrewers Club.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Golden color with a slight haze. Thin white head with mild lacing on the glass.

Smell: Strong hops, pine, and citrus notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of strong bitter hops and pine with a hint of citrus.

Overall: Good IPA!

Straw pour with a 1/4" foamy head. Lingering lacing as it warmed. A big unique hop nose explosion. Strong hops, a little smoky, and a good bitter pop. Every once in a while I think I taste the alchohol, but overall well masked. I give this one props for originality, as I cannot think of another IPA that tastes like it. I do not get the "sessionable" feeling that some get. For me the flavors are too big. I have no reservations about throwing this into the mix on a Friday night. If you like hop bombs, give this a try, but don't expect a balanced IPA.
