Style | ABV
American Pale Wheat Ale |  5.00% ABV

Availability: Summer

Notes/Commercial Description:
A traditional summer wheat beer marries a West Coast pale ale. Locally grown wheat provides a complex mouthfeel and Amarillo dry hopping gives a citrusy aroma.

very easy to drink beer. i've never felt more of a bubblegum smell in a wheat beer before. this clearly isn't the best wheat beer i've ever tasted, but it certainly does the job.
pours a golden yellow with very little head. perfect level of carbonation, a little bitter note in the aftertaste that you don't get with most wheat beers.
this won't blow anyone's mind, but it's good for a summer afternoon for sure.

Summer Session, very much like an APA very hoppy. Got 3 or them in a beer of the month pack. Will enjoy them. I never have heard of Peak Organic Brewing Company, but I definitely would recommend someone with access to this to try if you enjoy this style.

12oz.

A: Straw yellow with a small white head.

S: Floral hoppiness, light apricot bite, some bready malt.

T: Moderate hop bitterness, grassy, buttery yeast, a bit of citrus.

M: Light-bodied with crisp carbonation.

O: I do not like the yeast profile on this at all. Way too buttery.

Bottle > Pint Glass

A - Pours a light yellow/straw color, thin fizzy 1 finger head, no lacing.
S - Im very pleased with the aroma, nice lemon zest, pine and some other earthy hops, some wheat, a little clove, some flowery scents too.
T - Good pale ale hop bite up front, a little citrus taste, dried flowers, then fades to a mild wheat flavor.
M - This is what I like least, the aftertaste is a bit soapy and off putting, but otherwise its refreshing.
O - Decent Pale Wheat, good mild hop presence, and not too much on the wheat, balanced. IF PO could get that soapy aftertaste out, this would be something I'd return to.

A: Pours a crystal clear light to medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some hints of yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy white head that reduces to a medium large patch of thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of wheat with light to moderate aromas of citrus/lemon and apricot.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of wheat with some slightly lighter flavors of citrus/lemon and apricot. Very light amounts of bitterness in the finish.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing, perfect for a hot day and it tasted great after a walk in the heat.
