12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
A: Crystal clear amber in color. Pillowy white head has excellent retention. Lacing sticks to the glass in rough, patchy clumps. A very nice looking beer.
S: Earthy, woody pine, pine needles, mango, peach, mandarin orange, mint leaves. Buttery toffee and caramel scents underneath. A good nose, the hops pop nicely.
T: Buttery, caramel, slight toast. Mango, mandarin orange, apricot, earthy pine and mint. The finish showcases all the aforementioned fruity and earthy hop flavors, and vibrantly so.
M: Medium bodied. Smooth and creamy with a mild prickling carbonation. A perfectly acceptable mouthfeel, though a bigger bite from the carbonation would go a long way to provide that extra refreshing crispness.
O: This is one of the better beers in Peak Organic's lineup. A nice English-leaning single hop pale ale. It's bright and refreshing, thanks to some smart hop additions. It works as a spring seasonal, and I can see it hitting the spot on a warmish day in that transitional time between winter and spring. If it's still around, that is. These seasonals get released earlier and earlier with each passing year.
