While I am not normally a fan of of summer ales as a whole, this one is better than the average in my opinion. While the color did not grab me, and the mouthfeel left me wanting, the taste was above average in my opinion for this family of ales. Though not relevant to the beer itself, i did like the rustic look of the bottle art.

[Suggested Glassare: Shaker Glass]

The pour was a clear light amber with an average (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that slowly receded, down to a medium puddled film with a medium collar and had superb full sheeting of lacing.

The aroma was of a light straw malt, mild grassy hops and a sweaty yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (lemon) and a hint of an adjunct.

The taste was a bit malty with a hint of caramel sweetness from the start, becoming lightly hoppy with a mild citrus peel bitterness towards the end. The flavor lasted a long time following the swallow, with the citrus peel bitterness lingering on the taste buds for a little while longer.

Mouthfeel was light in body and dry in texture with a carbonation that was just below medium.

Overall I personally found this Summer Ale to be a little below average. It just possessed too much of an adjunct flavor, than I prefer....
