Sampled on draught at the Florida Tap Room.
Can I start off by saying wow! Not for the beer, but I just happen to see the other reviews first (I usually don't) and they are all over the place. Actually they are either good or very, very bad. So I recommend you try for yourself. I don't like pumpkin and I liked this beer.
Served a golden orange with no head and no lacing to speak of.
Aromas of malt, pumpkin, apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and spice. If it weren't for the pumpkin I would swear this was an X-Mas brew. It could still pass for one, even with the pumpkin scent.
The first taste was of sweet malt, then pumpkin which quickly blended together with the cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, and spice. It was like Thanksgiving and Christmas roled into one. Very different, but good. Fairly light to medium body. Finished crisp and clean with a slightly sweet and spicy aftertaste.
Not a bad beer, I'd would love to compare what I had with what the others had. I would also like to try more Pumpkin Ales for comparision.
Serving type: on-tap
