Mahogany colored beer with a dense, cream-colored head.
Very silky texture, but still decent carbonation. Malty, but not too sweet. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg flavor, and some nicely balanced spicey hops (yes, I've decided there should be a distinction between "spicy" and "spicey"). Hint of bready yeast too.
One of the best winter ale-type beers I've had, and one of the few where the Christmasy/cinnamony flavor ACTUALLY comes through. I have to say I'm surprised who it came from... definitely by FAR the best Shipyard beer I've tried.
Around 9 or 10 bucks a six-pack.
