I had this in a shaker pint.

Appearance- This quadruple X offering has an off-white, orange tinged head that cannot even muster complete coverage of the lid. The body is a solid amber with orange-gold highlights.

Smell- There is sweet citrus and a slightly grassy scent. There is some orange, cherry, honey, and even some mango. There is not much malt but it has a toffee feel to it.

The high alcohol is translated as a brandy-like smell. This is pretty fantastic!

Taste- This bitters up very nicely and is the first thing you notice on the first drink. And man is it sweet! There is some cherry and mango flavor mid-drink with plenty of toffee malt. There is also some brandy here.

The back end of the drink is full of piney hops. Man does it bitter this one up. Honestly, this is more like a barleywine than an IPA. I would like to see what a year or two of aging does to this one.

Mouth feel- It has a medium body and it is carbonated well. It is definitely dry and the mouth coating could be better.

Overall- This is a great DIPA that drinks very much like a fresh barleywine. The sweet notes of the drink make it great, and there is more than enough bitterness.

A better mouth feel would pretty much complete this beer. I say go for it. Definitely.

Pours almost rust in color with bout a half inch off white head, with medium retention and leaving no lacing behind

some floral, mild notes of hops, some dark fruit malts, but all kinda of weak for an IPA

bitter up front, leads into fairly nice hop, dark fruit balance.

high carbonation medium bodied leaves with an alcohol type feel.

overall it was a nice IPA worth the price, but i would choose other IPA's to enjoy

Pours a dark orange-amber with a huge bubbly head that sticks to the glass. It has some cloudiness.

Smells of bright piney citrus hops and an undertone of the sweet malt. Gains a little booze smell as it warms.

Tastes of tangy grapefruit pow! Malt rides shotgun, while the hops control the whole flavor. Great balance of the two, just what I want from an IPA.

Good carbonation makes this a good drink, punchy up front and smooth bitter dry aftertaste makes me want to drink more, and I will.

This is what I want from a DIPA, great hops presence, malt in the background, a great tasting beer.

A - Murky honey amber, small off white head. Lots of lace.

S - Very cold - Hard to smell much of anything. Hops apparent.

T - Solid malt core - bitter heavy hop. Pine, burnt orange and tobacco.

M - Medium body, great carbonation and good balance.

D - Deceptively drinkable. Not hard at all to drink for the ABV. Not alcohol heat.

From notes taken a few weeks ago.

Poured into tulilp.

Pours a clear, deep copper. A healthy brownish-white head with good retention sticks around.

Aroma is sweet malts, fruity hops apparent right from cracking the bottle, grapefruit, some booze. Sweet overall.

Starts bitter than sweet, some caramel, some citrus, a little pine. Overall not too bitter, I expected more hops. Apv is masked well, just a slight and pleasant warming toward the end of a sip.

This beer has a heavier mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Overall this is a strange ipa to me, there is more sweetness than I expect but this is balanced alright with bitterness. Good for the price and a interesting brew.

Great beer. This is a hop lovers dream.

A: Orangish amber. Nice head and terrific lace around the glass.

S: Hops, citrus.

T: This one doesn't disappoint. Hints of caramel with lots of hops. Not as hoppy as it smells. Well Balanced.

M: Nice mouthfeel. The hops don't linger.

O: This beer was delicious. If you like IPA's - it's a must try.

22oz. bottle: This one pours a clear, slightly orangish amber color. There was a bit of an almost tan head on it, that didn’t linger long but left some lacing. Nice nose. Citrus, some pine, sweet caramel malts in the background, some other fruits. A hint of earthiness and spices also. Body seems just a bit light for a DIPA. Good balanced taste, however. Bitter, yet a slight malt sweetness in the finish. Citrus, caramel malt and some pine notes dominate. It’s a pretty decent beer. Not the best DIPA I’ve had, but far from the worst.
