Purchased at the LCBO $2.95 for a 473ml can.

Enjoyed in a standard draught glass at 5deg C

A- Excellent unfiltered IPA. Pours well with not much head but a nice film within a minute

S- WOW the citrus shines through. Sensational

T- Bitter bite off the hop then the citrus peel and hops come to life. Definitely quite a few different hops in this one. Not much cascade but a lot of other bitter hops.

M- Pretty good! Nice dry bite with excellent carbonation contrary to the lack of head

O- Very good. Looking forward to another of these. Good thing I bought 2!

Food Pairing

This wonderful IPA paired very well with... BBQ'd sausage. My nice home made hot Italian sausage paired very well with this hoppy light IPA.

Hazy pure amber color. Thick and foamy beige 2 finger persistent head with some nice activity.

Sharp aromas of fruity citrus and toasty bread like. Strong highly bitter flavors of smoky orange peel and clove. Slightly missing some freshness.

Medium slick body with average carbonation. Strong and long mouth puckering and astringent finish. Powerful smoky bitter mouth coating of cloves and orange.

Overall : It's like chewing an orange peel, interesting taste but way too bitter. (484 characters)

Not a big Shipyard fan, but thought this might be worth a try.

In a pint glass the beer was a bright copper color with a thick off-white head. The head dissipated quickly, and left a lot of lace.

Hoppy aroma. Floral and grassy, some citrus. Sweet malt background.

The aroma didn't quite translate into the taste. Mostly a floral, perfumy taste. A tiny bit of grapefruit, and a little bit of sweet bread.

OK beer, a little bit better than average. (450 characters)

Pick up one of these as a local new beer to try.

Poured into my pilsner glass, not sure why i chose it but there you go. The beer is pale amber in color with a dense white head. As I move it around the head floats and remains.

The aroma is sweet spicy hops with hints of caramel malts. The aroma isn't over the top but very pleasant.

The taste is a a classic english style ipa. The flavor is an initial burst of earthy hops. The hops remain and there is a spicy flavor that pokes in as the beer finishes. The end is bitter but is smooth. Not my favorite ipa but a good example of the style. (596 characters)

12 ounce bottle, "best enjoyed before" dating notched onto the side of the label.

Pour is clear and lighter amber, under a moderate eggshell head. leaves fine strands of lace on the glass.

Bready nose, I also pick up some nutty notes, tea and some herbal hoppy notes, quite the complex nose!

On the palate, its more tea, more herbal notes, some mint. Also a hint of soap and some vegatal slightly off putting notes.

Ehh, some thing definatly seems off here. With so many quality IPA's out there I doubt I'd go for this one again. (534 characters)
