330 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - A little murky. Reddish golden. No head while I pour. It wells up with a few bubbles at the end. Then just a collar.

Smell - Lots of hops. Pine. Slightly oxidized. Works well. Spicy rye.

Taste - Pine hops up front. Musty. Oxidation comes through with caramel malts. Rye holds off until the end with some bitterness.

Mouthfeel - A little boozy. Thick. Feels like a barleywine.

Overall - Excessively hopped. Oxidation works well though. No idea how old this is. (515 characters)

Tap (Hivernale): Poured a deep copper color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of spicy/peppery rye notes with some sweet caramelized notes. Taste is dominated by some spicy and peppery rye malt notes with some resinous hoppy notes offset by some caramelize semi-sweet malt notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Quite enjoyable and really well brewed with good balance overall. (436 characters)
