Pours a very light yellow body and a fizzy white head.

Aromas are funky with notes of citrus.

Lemon, lime, wheat and a carbonic bite like San Pellegrino. Mild funkiness and a soft acidic snap really take this beer to the next level. Well balanced and addictive.

A bomber of Berliner Weisse? Why is that so uncommon, this is an awesome beer and untapped style. Never thought it would be Crabtree that would do it. I gotta give theses guys credit, they've really turned it up a notch recently.

Pours a hazy, gold/straw color. 3/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of lemon, hops, yeast, sweet malt, slight pale malt, and a hint of coriander. Mouth feel is very sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. There is also a noticeable dryness and tartness. Fits the style of a Berliner Weissbier. Tastes of lemon, sweet malt, hint of wheat, slight yeast, slight hops, and a slight pale malt. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, blend, and feel.

A: Light golden, no lacing. Very effervescent.

S: Sour funk and musty with hints of grapefruit.

T: Sour, tart, with orange/grapefruit notes.

M: Very effervescent.

O: A little funky, a little sour, a little hint of citrus. A nice light sour ale from a local brewery I like. Not amazing, but solid.

Poured from the bottle featuring a label JFK delivering his famous speech in Berlin a fizzy and cloudy grapefruit yellow with one finger of very fast-fading white head. No lacing whatsoever.

Bright aroma of lemon zest, yeast, spicy herbs, straw, white wine vinegar and cracker.

The taste really matched the aroma with bright, tart lemon, white wine vinegar, yeast, and saltine cracker. Finished very clean.

Light-to-medium body and dry with a crisp carbonation.

A very tastey Berliner Weissbier from Crabtree. A nice medley of flavors in this one. I will definitely have this one again.

Bottled purchased from Beertopia in Omaha, NE. Cool screen print on the bottle. Mentions something about doughnuts and politics. Cap came off with a loud hiss. Poured into a Tallgrass cervoise glass at fridge temp.

Appearance: It poured so clear for a while I thought I was pouring champagne. Massive four finger head of clear, fizzy bubbles. Fizzled away in no time and eventually lost all of it's head. Effervescent to say the least. The body itself was a very light straw color.

Smell: All kinds of tart and acidic notes. Wheat. Some tanginess, musty earthiness, and interestingly some light sulfur/egg notes.

Taste: Tart lactic up front, some mustyness, a clean, sharp lemon acidity, and finishes with a lingering cracker like wheat.

Mouthfeel: Effervescent. Very light body which made it quite easy to drink. No hint of the ABV.

Overall: Only my second berliner weisse and Crabtree beer but impressed on both accounts.. Very interesting and complex nose. Light, easy drinker and the tart dryness makes it very thirst quenching. I can see why this is a summer beer! Get some before the humidity and 90+ weather leaves.

From a 650 ml bottle (undated, but with JFK on the front) into a nonic.

A-A normal pour produces a huge, shiny, white head of foam. The foam drops immediately, however, and leaves no lacing. The brew is clear and very light yellow in color. There is a good bit of carbonation visible. Pretty true to style.

S-A health dose of lactic, funky wheat is noticeable as I pour. There is also a fair bit of lemon and significant (for the style) tartness. This brew is nearing lambic levels of tartness and funkiness on the nose.

T-The taste also packs a good bit of tartness, but the brew is not quite puckering or sour. Lemon is the main feature, but there is a good bit of lactic funk and wheat, too, which balances things out. The whole package is balanced, crisp, drinkable, and interesting.

M-The feel is light and effervescent . The carbonation is assertive and fizzy. The feel is a touch too light and assertive, but not too far off for a Berliner.

O-This is a great Berliner and a great beer. Crabtree manages to pack a lot of flavor into 4.3% ABV while staying pretty true to the style. The beer is balanced with nice tart flavors playing off of a light, but not insubstantial, wheat beer body. This is my first Crabtree brew and I'll be looking for more.

The look was great and completely what I expected. The smell brought out the lovely grains and felt like a great summer beer. When I tasted it, I was blown away by the taste. The tartness and lemon was so fantastic and balanced, I had a little tear at the end of the beer.

Bomber into a berliner goblet, the brew appears a perfectly clear straw yellow color with streaming bubbly carbonation that forms a white finger. The head collpases quickly despite the rising bubble support which is typical for the style. A few spots of lace stick to the glass.

The aroma is lemony with a funky inclusion of greek yogurt culture mixed with a mild suggestion of spoiled grain/corn but I mean that in a good way. Towards the back is a sort of fresh cereal grain/wheat sweetness that is quite enjoyable.

The flavor really brings it with everything you might expect based off the aromatics. Lemony tartness is the front runner of the flavor profile with a mild grainy sweetness like wheat/cereal/corn. There is a mild taste across the mid-palate caught somewhere between original pink bubblegum and yogurt. Overall quite nice.

This is a light bodied brew with a moderate to lively amount of carbonation. A very solid brew right here that is downright crushable. Just a bomber of this is a tease...I want, no need more of this to enjoy again in the future.
