Tamura's in Kaimuki, on the corner of Waialae & 10th Ave. Easy to find if you are visiting [but a car will be helpful]. A short drive from Waikiki.

While this place does not have the best selection of beer in Honolulu [see The Liquor Collection], the prices are considerable cheaper [$1-$3 cheaper than other places in town].

They have a large selection of wine and a good selection of liquor. As for beer, they have one non-refrigerated case in the back devoted mostly to Belgian's [singles]. The are also nine refrigerated cases in the back that have mostly six packs and cases [though a few singles]. Also, pay attention when you walk in the store. On the right wil be a special section that usually has some beers [UnibroueX4, Sam Adams Chocoloate bock, Hitachino nest wit, Bison, etc.]. As for other beers, a sampling includes: chimay blue, Lindeman's feramboise, Golden drak, bornem, Piraat, petrus, Augustijn, Schothcilly, Hommel, Mongozo, Stiegel, Spaten, Ayinger, Franziskaner, Czechvar, Peroni, Harp, Pilsner Urquel, etc.

So, if you in Hawaii and want a decent selection at a very reasonable price [e.g. Unibroue's are around $10 everywhere in town but only $6.39 here], then this is the place to go. Nice place that is popular with locals.

Excellent bottle shop, although the focus is clearly on wine. However, the craft beer isle is large and well stocked. Many options from Japan and Europe, although the mainland West coast selection is excellent, as well.

Prices are pretty good, but good luck trying to get a fresh IPA, which seems to be the market lately more so than this store specifically. Still, it was a shame to see a ton of Knee Deep hop bombs on the shelves, each with at least 3 months on it.

A - This is a good size liquor store in the Kaimuki part of Honolulu. They also have parking in front of the store, which is rare here.

S - I received the typical acknowledgement from staff, but nothing special.

Sel - There were several Belgian offerings I hadn't seen in other stores, with one of the largest selections I've seen in the city.

V - The best overall prices I've seen in Honolulu.

I strongly recommend visiting Tamura's, if you're looking for your craft beer fix while in Honolulu.

Tamura's has a good selection of beer (though not as big as Whole Foods or The Liquor Collection) at great prices. They are consistently $1-2 cheaper than the same beer at Whole Foods. I also buy Scotch here and they are cheaper than Costco.

Their parking lot can be a pain to get into and out of (one enter only, no left turn and the other enter/exit but again, no left turn) and you can't legally enter if you are headed west (Diamondhead) on Waialae. But there is usually plenty of parking and getting in and out of the store is easy.
