A- Poured from the bottle with a relatively thin tan-colored head, which slowly receded to a collar- not even a haze layer- over a seemingly non-carbonated dark brown body- almost black in appearance.

S- Interesting- smells like chocolate liqueur minus the booze. Sweet cocoa and vanilla aromas throughout. Nothing on the nose that strikes me as an ester or hops... I'll give it a generous '4' here due to it's uniqueness without being cloyingly sweet in aroma.

T- Right up front you get those sweet chocolate notes, and impressions of cocoa and vanilla bean. Nothing overtly roasty. The flavor is pretty persistent and one dimensional throughout the flavor profile. The finish falls short... almost no finish at all. Boring.

M- Medium body with soft carbonation. No astringency. Nice mouthfeel for a lower alcohol beer.

D- Drinks reasonably well despite the fact that it's overall uninteresting.

Poured from a 650 ml bottle into a standard pint.

A: Very dark brown or black. Pours a slight, foamy, white head. Disintegrates very quickly, leaving very little trace. No lacing.

S: Roasted espresso, dark chocolate, caramel, and a little licorice.

T: Washed-out coffee, cola, orange, and tea leaves.

M: Full-flavored, synthetically sweet, with a lightly fruity aftertaste that lingers on the palette.

D: Not much resistance. A bit off-putting though.

Atmosphere is lacking. Dark hue, but not much of a head and no lacing. Nose is a pleasant combination of coffee, chocolate, and bitter and sweet notes. Flavor is a synthetic and washed out combination of roasted components with citrus, tea, and cola. Aftertaste and feel is a little off. Overall, this is an okay quaff.

This is a really tasty chocolate stout. At 4.5%abv, it is extremely drinkable. Poured a 22oz bomber into a nice big goblet and very much enjoyed this beer, my first from High and Mighty.
A: Pours a super midnight black with a beautiful (and ample) cream head, which lingers. Appetizing lacing stays all throughout the glass.
S: This is one of those beers that will "have you at hello." The nose is a bold chocolatey roasted malt with fresh coffee beans sneaking up soon afterward, and nothing unnecessary.
T: Very espresso-influenced flavor. It is not nearly as heavy as it appears, and the extra roasted malts and hops balance well with a chocolate theme laid deep into the drink's spine.
M: Crisp, smooth and perfect for any cool winter day or night. Really easy to drink, and while the combination of strong coffee and chocolate flavors is absolutely powerful, it is also delicate and not overwhelming. All of the elements in this brew complement each other nicely.
O: Very pleasant drinking experience right here. Tastefully brewed, no pun intended. Compare with Harpoon's Chocolate Stout perhaps, and/or another coffee beer like BBC's Coffeehouse Porter. With the colder season coming on, the sneakily smooth Two-Headed Beast is worth picking up and sipping down!

Thanks to ActonBrewer for this one. Reviewed from notes. Poured from bomber into a CCB pint glass.

A: Opaque and somewhere between black and crazy-dark-brown with a large medium tan foamy head. Badass looking beer.

S: Chocolate, cacao, burnt coffee, nutty or hazelnut.

T: Burnt coffee, just a hint of chocolate roasted malt, and a bit of a flat metallic/tinny flavor near the end. Really not a great flavor.

M: Much thinner body than expected for style. Moderate carbonation sensation, and a light alcohol presence.

O: Frankly, this isn't particularly good. It seems more like a (decent) coffee porter than a chocolate stout. Not a winner for me.

Poured into a large brandy snifter. Pours really dark brown, almost black, with a moderately quickly dissipating tan head. Some bubbles can be seen along the side of the glass, indicating adequate carbonation. The beer smells tart up front with some chocolate. I pick up a little bit of the dark roasted malt. The taste follows the nose. It's tart. I pick up those roasted malts with some chocolate in the aftertaste. I don't notice much hops. It's definitely different. The body is light, which is expected for a stout. The beer is smooth. This is above average and I would not recommend this.

Bottle into sniffer during the PGA championship. Pours deep brown almost black with a one-finger mocha head that leaves a thin ring of lacing around the glass's edge. Smells richly of milk and dark chocolates with hints of some dark tart fruit. The taste is opposite: a tart sour fruit taste and a chocolate aftertaste. Tastes more sour (think a poor attempt at bruerys tart of darkness) rather than the advertised "luscious chocolate stout". Mouthfeel is light and carbonation is high for the style, but appropriate for the 4.5% abv. Overall, it's not an unenjoyable beer but it's not what i expected. I don't think I'd have this one again.

A- Pours a deep and ark brown body with a slight reddish hue around the edges. A 3-finger khaki head doesn't last too long before falling to a cap.A little lacing, though.

S- Breadiness, both milk and dark chocolate, an espresso aroma, a bitter smell, all wrapped up in a sharpness I can't explain.

T- Sharp up front, a little bitter bite. Actually, the flavors are very mellowed. The only thing that really stands out is jst a slight hint of bittersweet chocolate. Slightly metallic, also.

MF- Thinner than I would've liked, and also maybe a touch too much carbonation. Very sharp with each sip.

A - Pours a pitch black with 1/4 inch of tan foam that seems to be sticking around for quite a while.
S - some roasted malts with some chocolate malts showing through. Its good, just not very strong.
T - slightly bitter flavor, a bit off, some bitter chocolate with a powdery type feel, some roasted malts and lactose sweetness
M - slightly over carbed, light to medium bodied
D - ok flavor, but not one i'd want to seek out again

This stout poured out as a nice thick looking black color with a tan colored head. The lacing wasn't too bad here. The smell of the beer was roasted with some chocolate aromas coming off of this beer. The taste had a nice chocolatey base to it with a burnt bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel was about medium bodied and remained pretty drinkable. Overall it's a good stout, wouldn't have to run out and get more anytime soon, but it was nice to try.
